Project Land Rights & CRA
CSRA is working on the issue of land ownership among Santhal tribe people with special emphasis on women in 30 Santhal tribe villages at Mohammad Bazar Block of Birbhum District of West Bengal. The project has been supported by the Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility (IPAF) under the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) from 2024 to 2026. The Tebetebba Foundation of the Philippines is extending knowledge and monitoring support to this project. It ensures multi-stakeholders' involvement, capacity development, documentation, and joint catalytic action of women & youth for their rightful claim towards improved land governance. With the help of land experts, the organization is extending training to community youth & women vis-a-vis local self-government (Panchayat) authorities on tribal & women’s land rights and organising community-driven participatory sessions for the application, mapping, verification, and record of rights (ROR) of land. CSRA is propagating climate-resilient agriculture practices among the farmers, women and youth.
